New Moon by Stephenie Meyer

May 10th, 2008

This is the second novel in the Twilight series and while it was enjoyable, it wasn’t as good as Twilight. My personal opinion is because Edward was pretty much absent from the bulk of this story. Bella is just a magnet for trouble-I think it even says that in the book. She manages to, this time, get herself involved with the werewolves of the community. Of course, let’s not forget that she manages to hurt herself on a regular basis throughout this book too-Bella’s kluztiness is fast becoming legendary in these books. Bella’s greatest desire is still to be with Edward forever and become a vampire. Edward manages to thwart this once again. I’m looking forward to the next book in the series-Eclipse. I’m anxious to see what will happen to Bella now that the vampires and werewolves are battling for her attention-Edward and Jacob. I’m curious to see what Jacob will do now that Bella is so firmly back with Edward. I do, however, have a long wait as there is a whole pile of holds at the library for this one.

I agree about book II not being as good as I. Felt that way about III as well. All-in-all, I am in love with the series…lol!
