Undead and Unworthy by MaryJanice Davidson

August 18th, 2008

This is MaryJanice Davidson’s latest in the vampire Betsy’s series. This is number seven. She’s starting with a new cover on this seventh book. She’s doing a trilogy of books within the series but I have to say that I liked the old covers much better.

Betsy is up to her usual antics of fighting off vampires that are trying to kill her and keeping up with things at home; namely her hubby and her friends and let’s not forget her sister who has the devil as a father but is a sweet girl and her stepbrother who is just a baby.

There’s really nothing new and not a lot to say about these books. I’ve really enjoyed the series and will continue to read them as they come out. They are just fluff reads-an escape into a world that makes you laugh for a while. If you find bad language offensive or some sex, then this probably isn’t the series for you but if you like a funny vampire saga, then try this one out.

You know, I have not read any in this series, but hope to one day. I have heard so much about them!

  2. Dar says:

Hey April, they’re nice because they are fast and light reads. Perfect if you just want to be amused for a while.

  3. J. Kaye Oldner says:

I love light reads, but never could warm up to these. Ya know?

  4. Dar says:

Yup I know J.Kaye. That’s the thing-what one likes, another may not and that’s ok. My favorite vampire stories are still Laurell K. Hamilton.
