A while back I read and reviewed Deep Dish by Mary Kay Andrews and quickly became a fan of her style of writing. So, I was excited to hear she had a new book coming out called The Fixer Upper which I hope to be reviewing later this month. In the meantime, Blog Talk Radio is having Mary Kay Andrews in for a chat on Tuesday, June 16 at 3pm EST. You can set your own reminder for the show here so you don’t forget to listen in.
The great thing is to promote the talk show, Harper Collins is going to give away 25 copies of The Fixer Upper to readers who write into the show or email them with a question for Mary Kay. So here’s a brief description of the show and what you would have to do to be included…
Virginia Stanley, Director of Library Marketing at Harper Collins interviews New York Times bestselling author Mary Kay Andrews who will discuss her latest publication, THE FIXER UPPER. This is a stand-along novel about a woman whose professional fall from grace lands her back in a hometown she never knew, amongst a gothic Southern family she’s never met, and taking on a task she never imagined. This is a sassy and once-in-a-while poignant look at small town Southern life, as only Mary Kay Andrews can tell it.
Listeners need to go to this webpage here for the chat where you will see the call-in number displayed: (347) 826-9690. You simply call that number to ask a question. When you’re on the air, make sure to turn down the volume on your computer.
If you prefer to email a question, you need to type it in the “Chat” section which will appear on the lower left-hand side of the screen when you’re logged into Blog Talk Radio. To send questions via the chat, they need to register first on the site Blog Talk Radio here. You should do this prior to the show so you can have your reminder set and be ready to go when they start the show so you don’t miss anything. Do not enter questions into the “comments” section if you want them to see you during the live show — that section is only for comments after the show.
I sure hope I can make it only to listen in as I’ve listened in on a chat with Mary Kay before and she’s a lot of fun to listen to. If any of you pop in to listen, call in, or e-mail a question, good luck!
