2011 Outlander Challenge

January 6th, 2011

The Outlander Series (Diana Gabaldon) is another one that I’ve tried to do for two years now. As you can see I’ve not managed it since I’m giving it another go. I will add my links to my reviews as I read the books. Anyone is welcome to join in; just let me know. This challenge will run from January 1 – December 31, 2011.

  1. Outlander
  2. Dragonfly in Amber
  3. Voyager
  4. The Drums of Autumn
  5. The Fiery Cross
  6. A Breath of Snow and Ashes
  7. An Echo in the Bone

Wish me luck!

I have not read any of them but will wait for your reviews as they come up.

  2. Mary says:

Good luck, Dar! I've only read the first but I have the next few on my Kindle and hope to read the second this year. I'm definitely not challenge material for this series ;-) I had high hopes and signed up for it last year but then realized there was no way I'd read these quickly.

  3. Vivienne says:

Good luck Dar. I do own the first three books but as of yet, I haven't read any. I might try to get to the first one at least.

  4. bermudaonion says:

I know so many people who love these books, but they intimidate me. Good luck!

LOL, I have also been told that I should read these books!

OH NO!! My favorite of all time series. Hmmm, last year I listened to the series. I tell myself, only every other year… Oh man, such a hard decision. You are so bad for tempting me

This is my favorite series…my favorite. I love it so much that I am re-reading the books, and I also listen to them in audiobook format. I am currently on re-reading Voyager. I hope you make it through the series…so worth the time. :)

I have loved the Outlander Series for so long! The first book blew me away and I started the second… and then life got in the way! Ahhh! I should join this challenge just to push myself to take the time to read these! Diana Gabaldon is a genius! Good luck with the challenge! Have you read the first one? I made it one of my book club choices and everyone (even our gentlemen member) really enjoyed it! Especially the history!

  14. Linda says:

This is probably my all-time favorite series and I re-read them all at least every other year; my friends tease me that I have parts of the various plot lines memorized LOL! I'll probably not join the challenge officially as I am trying hard to write and also read other historicals this year, but who knows–I may just need another Jamie and Clare fix before 2011 ends ;-)

  15. Teddy Rose says:

I posted this for you at A Novel Challenge. You are the second person hosting an Outlander Challenge in 2011.

  16. Svea ~Muse in the Fog says:

Good luck! I read Outlander last year and am yet to read Dragonfly in Amber… maybe I will read one book a year, lol.

  17. Tea says:

I would love to try this one. That means putting all my other challenges on hold except for the Mystery and Suspense one which I dearly love. I've read Outlander. Got stuck and didn't move any further. Have #2 ready and waiting.

  18. Tea says:

Whoops, sorry. Change of plans. I'm a challenge myself this year. I'm not going to join challenges this year. When I read, it's going to be on a personal level. Just not feeling well lately. Thanks for allowing me to make two decisions in a matter of moments. Thanks.
