Book Spotlight: Swept Away: Scenarios for Girls 5 & 6 by Nicole O’Dell & Giveaway

Today at Peeking Between the Pages I’m going to feature Nicole O’Dell’s newest Scenarios for Girls # 5 & 6 all rolled into one volume called Swept Away, releasing today. I’ve read all of Nicole’s Scenarios for Girls (Scenarios 1 & 2: Truth or Dare and All That Glitters / Scenarios 3 & 4: Magna and Making Waves) and they are such important books for teen girls today. What they do is tell a story and then give the reader two different outcomes – one where the girl takes the good route and one where she doesn’t and you, as the reader, can see what happens with both of her choices. I’ll be reviewing Swept Away which includes High Stakes and Essence of Lilly soon!
Here’s a bit about Swept Away…
In High Stakes, seniors and best friends, Amber and Brittany, are neck and neck in a good-natured competition for a car being given away by a local business.. In Essence of Lilly, sophomore Lilly Armstrong is always looking for ways to escape the confines of her unhappy home. She “invents” youth group activities just so she can hang out with her boyfriend, Jason—the only one in Lilly’s life who makes her feel special. What happens when Amber and Lilly are faced with making difficult choices? Readers help Amber and Lilly make the difficult decisions and see how their choices create consequences with life-altering results.
In a nutshell, High Stakes deals with issues of trust, loyalty, and honesty. Essence of Lilly deals with purity and pre-marital sex.
About the Author
I’m a mom of six–including two-year-old triplets! I’m the host of Teen Talk Radio, the author of a bunch of books and the wife of one really cool guy. I love to get out among teens and parents when I speak at conventions, churches, conferences, etc. I also love a really good and long bike ride.

I had not heard of these books before, but I love the premise…so original. No need to enter me, as my daughter is now in college…I can only hope that she continues to make the right choices, lol.
