Good morning everyone! I hope you’re all having a great Easter weekend. We’re just having a quiet one here. However, here on Peeking Between the Pages, I have a giveaway for you! I just happen to have an extra copy of Miles from Ordinary by Carol Lynch Williams that St. Martin’s Press was nice enough to send me along with my review copy. Many of you may recognize this author as she wrote The Chosen One which got rave reviews. Now Carol Lynch Williams is back with Miles from Ordinary which released on March 15/11 and it sounds fantastic. I hope to have a review up shortly for you all. In the meantime, here is a bit about the book…
Thirteen-year-old Lacey wakes to a beautiful summer morning excited to begin her new job at the library, just as her mother is supposed to start work at the grocery store. Lacey hopes that her mother’s ghosts have finally been laid to rest; after all, she seems so much better these days, and they really do need the money. But as the hours tick by and memories come flooding back, a day full of hope spins terrifyingly out of control….

About the Author
CAROL LYNCH WILLIAMS, winner of the 2009 PEN/Phyllis Naylor Working Writer Fellowship, grew up in Florida, but now lives in Utah. Her latest novel, THE CHOSEN ONE, was named one of 2010 ALA’s “Quick Picks for Reluctant Young Adult Readers” and “Best Books for Young Adult Readers”; it won the Whitney and the Association of Mormon Letters awards for the best young adult fiction of the year, and has been featured on the Texas Library Association’s Lone Star Reading List, the New England Children’s Booksellers’ Association Top 10 List, the Summer 2009 Indiebound Kids’ Next List, the Amelia Bloomer Reading List, and the Texas Tayshas High School Reading List.
