Teaser Tuesdays (April 19)

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
* Grab your current read
* Open to a random page
* Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
* BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)

My teasers this week come from my current read The Uncoupling by Meg Wolitzer…
‘All over town, the spell did its work. No one knew, of course; how could they possibly have known? Even in the absence of a spell, no one ever really knew what went on in anyone else’s bed.’ (page 87, uncorrected advance copy, final printed copy may be different)
This novel is definitely intriguing and different. A spell over the town that makes all the women turn their men away. Interesting concept. I’m about a quarter of the way through so I’m still reserving an opinion but you can see what I think on Wednesday when my review goes up.

I have been wanting to read this one for such a long time, and have never read anything by Wolitzer before. I am glad that you are finding it interesting, Dar, and have to say that little teaser really hooked me!
I've been hearing SO much about this one lately–lots of really interesting things that have me pretty intrigued about the book. Hope you end up really liking it Darlene!
